Obituary
Ada Marie Thompson, 89, formerly of Loretto, passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY.
She was born July 15, 1921 in Marion County and was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Patrick ?Pat? Thompson, her parents, William Thomas and Leona Allen Wren, two sons, Kenneth Wayne Thompson and infant James Patrick Thompson, a grandson, Jeffrey Thompson Newton, a sister, Nannie Bailey and 3 infant sisters, two brothers, Howard and Johnny Wren.
Survivors include six daughters, Virginia (Phillip) Newton, Linda (James) Williamson and Roxie Perkins, all of New Haven, Leona (Kevin) Gilmore of Merrimack, NH, Vicky (David) Hedden of Franklin, NC and Dale (Larry) Burchell of Campbellsville, three sons, David (Amelia) Thompson of Leitchfield, Ricky (Carol) Thompson of Louisville and Dickie (Sandy) Thompson of Loretto, Thirty Grandchildren, Twenty-Nine Great-Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be 11 AM Monday, June 13, 2011 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with interment in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery at Saint Francis. Rev. Leland Parks will officiate. Friends may call from 1 PM till 8 PM on Sunday.
Memorial donations may go toward the Landon Thompson medical fund, c/o Mattingly Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Bernard Newton, Scott Hedden, Joe Paul Williamson, Pat Thompson, Kyle Burchell, Steven Burchell, Allen Thompson and Daryl Gilmore.
