Alex Dale Beaven, age 48 of Loretto, passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital in Louisville.  He was born March 16, 1975, in Marion County.  He was the owner and operator of Beaven Equipment Company and former employee of Ford Motor Company.  He was a former Loretto Fire Fighter and Marion County EMS Paramedic.  He was a member of Saint Charles Catholic Church.  He loved to help others.  He wrote grants for the Fire Department and served on the Emergency Response Team at Ford.

Alex was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Sims Beaven and his brother, George Stephen "Beaver" Beaven, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Stacy Beaven; four children, Justin Beaven (Kelly) of Lebanon, Byron, Connor, and Britney Beaven, all of Loretto; his father, Steve Beaven of Loretto; three siblings, Damon Beaven of Lexington, Reina White (Kevin) of Lafayette, Indiana and Helen Bischoff (Patrick) of Lexington; one sister-in-law, Kris Beaven of Louisville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, September 18, 2023, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation will be held 3 pm – 8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.

Pallbearers are Mitchell Followay, Brady Elder, Stephen Beaven, III, Joseph Beaven, Mel Miles, Billy Thomas, Tommy Hamilton, and Brian Smith.
