Obituary

Thomas Allen Mills, age 61 of Mount Washington, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 28, 2024.  He was born January 8, 1963, in Marion County.  He attended the University of Louisville where he made the Dean's List and earned a bachelor's and master's degree.  He worked as Director of Environmental Health and Safety at Fire King International with 37 years of employment.  He was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mount Washington.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda "Moe" Hutchins Mills and infant nephews, Travis and Cody Mills.

Survivors include his father, James "J. W." Mills of Mount Washington; two siblings, Bryan Mills (Christy) and Debbie Glasscock (Bruce), all of Mount Washington; two nieces, Erin Martin (Zach) and Kindal Shunnarah (Anthony); one nephew, Andrew Glasscock (Nicole); two great nieces, Lyla Samuels and Gabrielle McConnell; one great nephew, Drew Glasscock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto.  Rev. Scott J. Wimsett will officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 3-8 pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Andrew Glasscock, Bill Hutchins, Mark Hutchins, Steven Hutchins, Gerald Hutchins, and Michael Hutchins.
