Angela Marie Downs, 46, of Bardstown, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Baptist Health Louisville. Born on March 19, 1979, in Louisville, she formerly worked as a licensed practical nurse with Baptist Health in Bardstown. Angela was devoted to her family and loved spending time at the beach.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Benjamin "Lujack" Downs; four children, Tommy Downs (Jasmine) and Danielle Mattingly (Tristan) all of New Hope, Peyton Cheatham (Jael) and Preston Cheatham (Olivia Carmon), all of Willisburg; three grandchildren, Karstan Mattingly, Lacey Mattingly, and Layla Cheatham; her parents, Gary Douglas and Mary Sue Spalding Goff of Bardstown; two sisters, Jennifer Kennedy (Scott) and Kim Pollett (Joe), all of Bardstown.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Angela Marie Downs will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, January 12, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 306 Fredericktown Road, Springfield.  Rev. Augustine Judd, O.P.  will officiate.  Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 pm.
