Timothy Austin Smith, age 17 of Saint Francis, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 as a result of an auto accident.

He was born January 19, 2001. He was a Senior at Marion County High School and worked part-time at Ballard Heating and Air in Saint Francis. He enjoyed softball, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his parents, Timmy Smith and Stacey Spalding of Saint Francis; one sister, Sammie Smith; one brother, Isaac Smith; grandparents, Mark & Patty Holt of Bloomfield, Jude & Aimee Spalding of Fredericktown and Gladys & Gerald Smith of Loretto; his girlfriend, Kristi Martin of Holy Cross; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. Rev. Brian Lamberson will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 2-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
