Barbara Ann Southerland, age 84 of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2020 at Landmark of Louisville Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born October 14, 1935 in Marion County. She was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry D. Southerland (2003); one son, David Southerland; her father and mother, Russell and Liquori Sims Hutchins; seven sisters, Lorene Miles, Mauritia Ballard, Mary Grace Mattingly, Mary Ann Gardner, Sybil Blair, Mary Catherine Willett and Linda "Moe" Mills; five brothers, Leon, Gerald, Teenie, Harold and Marvin Hutchins.

Survivors include one son, Joey E. Southerland of Louisville; one daughter, Susan Russo of Florham Park, New Jersey; three grandsons; one sister, Christine Lanham (Robert) of Loretto; two brothers, Howard Hutchins (Sarah) of Loretto and Herbert Hutchins (Sarah) of Louisville.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
