William Clayton Carver Jr., age 36 of Loretto, left this world on October 11, 2022. Billy, as he was affectionately known by friends and family, was a kind, loving, loyal friend and a fiercely caring and protective son, brother and uncle. He loved nothing more than having a few beers with the ones he loved or having deep conversations where he pondered the many wonders of the world. He loved sharing his thoughts and insights.

Billy is preceded in death by his brother Craig Mettling. Billy is survived by his mother, Dawn Gritton of Cloverport; father and stepmother, Bill and Dreama Carver of Louisville; siblings Jordan Carver of Louisville, Brandon and Misty Woods of Cloverport,  Charity Woods of Cloverport, Cory and Tasha Gritton of Hawesville, and Desiree Gritton of Cloverport; his best friend and mentor, Todd Mattingly of Loretto. He also leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews who cherished him beyond words. He was the favorite amongst them, and his loss is being greatly felt.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.  Services will be private.
