Obituary
Joseph W. "Billy" Thomas, age 80 of Loretto, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home in Lebanon.
He was born July 22, 1934 in Loretto. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Reid Thomas; one son, Joe A. Thomas; his parents, Joseph Charles Thomas, Sr. and Ida Cecelia Nalley Thomas; one sister, Catherine Armel; three brothers, Joseph Charles Thomas, Jr., Joseph Alzo Thomas and Joseph Emmett Thomas.
Survivors include one sister, Ruby Wittmer of Louisville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Noon on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM Saturday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
