Brenda Carole Richerson

Brenda Carole Richerson, 80, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 27, 1946, in Marion County, she was a retired employee of Jane and Linda Sportswear. Brenda was a talented seamstress who lovingly made clothing for her family. A devoted woman of faith, she read the Bible cover to cover and was a member of the Baptist faith. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert “Jimmy” Richerson, who died March 8, 2026; one grandson, Thomas Brandon Abell; her parents, Albert Harlin and Mae Christine Battcher Farmer; one infant sister, Wanda Lois Farmer.

Survivors include three children, Allen Richerson (Jennifer), Dana Leigh Abell (Eugene), and Cris Lambe (Michael), all of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Jordon Richerson, Sydney Yarbrough, Sarah Childers, Claire Lambe, and Kristian Burkhead; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; three siblings, Barbara Settles, Bobby Farmer, and Donnie Farmer (Michelle) all of Lebanon.

Funeral Services for Brenda Carole Richerson will be held at 11 am Friday, May 29, 2026, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Bro. John Simpson will officiate. Interment will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Memorials may go toward funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Eugene Abell, Michael Lambe, Jordon Richerson, Chris Yarbrough, Chris Childers, Matthew Burkhead, and Caden Richerson.
