Carl Vernon Rogers, age 72 of Hustonville, formerly of Marion County, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born December 21, 1944 in Marion County and was a lifelong Farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Green and Sally Ann Moore Rogers; three sisters, Abigail Rogers and infants Eva Lee Rogers and Susan Gertrude Rogers; six brothers, Charles Edward, William Ralph, Arsanal Junior, Raymond Bert, George Richard and Gene Autry Rogers.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Catherine "Tiney" Brown Rogers of Loretto; two step-children, Tammy Brown of Greensburg and William Whitehouse (Julie) of Loretto; six step-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Burial will follow in the Benningfield Cemetery. Bro. Gary Hager will officiate.

Visitation is 11 AM Thursday until time of funeral.

Memorials donations may go toward funeral expenses and may be made at the funeral home.
