Joseph Carl Thomas, age 78 of Manton, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

He was born July 10, 1940 in Holy Cross. He was a retired Farmer a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Manton. He was preceded in death by parents, James Leman and Mary Ann Downs Thomas; one brother, James Dallas "J.D." Thomas; one infant sister, Edna Mae Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Ann Bartley Thomas; two daughters, Sharon Hill (Martin) of Bardstown and Lee Thomas (Frankie Carey) of Covington; two sons, Scott Thomas (Pam) of Cox's Creek and Brian Thomas (Gwen Coulter) of Springfield; eight grandchildren, Morgan Hill, Austin Hill, Brooke Brown, Caitlin Thomas, Gerrit Thomas, Haley Devine, Brittany Reid and Landon Thomas; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Buckalew of Covington, Georgia; one niece, Brandi Pelphrey of Dacula, Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Holy Rosary of Manton Catholic Church, 6964 Cissellville Road, Manton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
