Mary Carolyn Hargis, age 61 of Loretto, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born January 31, 1957 in Marion County to the late Cecil Parrott and Lottie Mae Elliott Simpson. She is survived by five children, Tina Harp of Breeding, Leticia Brown (Neal) of Loganville, Georgia, Felicia Abell (Chad) and James Hargis (Ashley) all of Loretto and Sasha Hargis of Bardstown; ten grandchildren; two brothers, John Simpson (Frankie) of Raywick and David Simpson (Virginia) of Lebanon; three sisters, Sarah Goff (David) of Raywick, Connie Wright and Lottie Frances Smothers both of Lebanon.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, August 6, 2018 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Chaplain Carlton Puryear will officiate. Burial will follow in the Haysville Cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Daniel Stark, Chad Abell, Neal Brown, James Hargis Jr., Jim Hargis and Chuck Woodbury.
