Carolyn Raye Riggs Simpson, age 73 of Cairo, Georgia, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman, Georgia.

She was born February 6, 1944 in Raywick to the late Marlon Paul and Grace Carolyn Price Craven. She formerly managed apartments in Louisville and worked at the old Jane and Linda's Sportswear in Lebanon. She loved traveling and square dancing and was a Catholic by faith.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Craven.

Survivors include one daughter, Dana Terhune (Bryan) of LaGrange; one son, Herman Riggs (Rose) of Saint Francis; eleven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; one sister, Phyllis Mattingly of Bardstown; one brother, Frank Craven (Charlena) of Bardstown.

Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside. Cremation will follow.

Visitation is 2 – 7 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
