Catherine Pauline Ewing, 98, of Loretto, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 10, 1927, Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and a lifelong, faithful member of Saint Charles Catholic Church. She found great joy in quilting, crocheting, baking, and cooking, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Gerald Ewing who died February 17, 2008; three sons, Kenneth, Charles Ray and Doug Ewing; all of her siblings including four sisters, Marie Moore, Mayola Raley, Isabell Mann, and Josephine Jarboe and six brothers, Charles, J.C., Bernard, Bill, Jimmy, and Walter Russell.

Survivors include five daughters, Rose Marie Simms of Lebanon, Kathy Reynolds (J.T.) of Saint Joe, Martha Knopp (Wayne) of Finley, Patty Ewing of Lebanon, Mary Griffaw (Mike Engler) of LaGrange; three sons, Terry Ewing of Loretto, Joey Ewing (Erica) of Campbellsville, and Tim Ewing (Kym) of Clinton; 24 grandchildren & 30 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 Highway 327, Lebanon.  Very Rev. Scott J. Wimsett, V.F. and Rev. Terry L. Bradshaw will concelebrate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The visitation is 4-8 pm Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
