Anna Catherine Taylor, age 80 of Manton, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Spring View Hospital. She was born November 17, 1942, in Washington County. She was a retired employee of Morton Custom Plastics in Lebanon. She was a beloved mother and spoiler of seven grandchildren.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, James Reuben Taylor who died January 31, 2001; her parents, John Barton Smith, Jr. and Margaret Stella Reed Smith; one sister, Evelyn Marie Smith; four brothers, Edward Leo Smith, Joseph "Herb" Smith, John B. Smith and Richard Albertus "Buddy" Smith.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Osborne (Matthew) of Loretto; three sons, James Barton "Jimmy" Taylor (Jenny) and Joseph David Taylor (Amanda) all of Springfield and Frankie Taylor (Lisa) of Manton; one sister, Betty Nally of Fredericktown; one brother, Bobby Smith (Alline) of Loretto; seven grandchildren, Ben Taylor (Kailey Thompson, fiancé), Madeline Taylor, Cody Osborne, Taylor Osborne, Callie Taylor, Daniel Taylor and Noah Boblitt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Monday, May 1, 2023, at Holy Rosary Church, 6964 Cissellville Road, Manton. Rev. Kevin McGrath will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Ben Brown.

Pallbearers are Ben Taylor, Cody Osborne, Robbie Smith, Kevin Nally, Eddie Smith and Kevin Taylor.
