Charles Bernard Hagan, age 79 of Lexington, formerly of Loretto, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center.  He was born December 25, 1944 in Marion County.  He was a retired employee of General Electric and a retired Farmer.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Marie Mattingly Hagan; his parents, Joseph Charles and Mary Catherine "Katie" Lee Hagan; six siblings, Catherine Miller, Annie Donahue, Charlena Tyler, Joe Hagan, Betty Lou Blanton, and Dean Roche.

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Marie Balko (Tom) of Lexington: three grandsons, Michael, CJ and Daniel Balko; many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Friday, November 29, 2024, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto.  Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate.  Cremation will follow the mass.

The visitation is 8 am – 9:30 am Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.

Pallbearers are Joe T. Hamilton, Junior Mudd, Matthew Mattingly, Josh Thompson, Justin Newton, Charlie Mattingly, and Jimmy Mattingly.
