Charles Eugene "Charlie" Winfield, age 46 of Loretto, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 4, 1973 in Marion County. He formerly attended special education in Marion County Public Schools.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Edward "Lightning" Winfield who died November 17, 2015.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Alice "Sissy" Mattingly Winfield and his sister, Cathy Winfield, both of whom he lived with. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and a special caregiver, Connie Mattingly.

Visitation is 5-7 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Michael Martin.

Cremation will follow the service with inurnment in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery at a later date.
