Christopher Lloyd "Chris" Grimes, 67, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.  Born March 18, 1958 in Louisville, he worked as a mechanic.  He loved fast cars, motorcycles, and rock and roll music.  He was affectionately known by his grandkids as G-paw and his nieces and nephews as Uncle Buck.

Chris was preceded in death by his daughter, Christen Grimes; his parents, Leonard and Margaret Jeffries Grimes; three siblings, Janice Grimes, Sandra Gribbins, and Larry Leonard Grimes; a special nephew, Jason Wayne.

Survivors include four children, Crystal Grimes of Louisville, Christy Tacey (Travis) of Holy Cross, Christa Grimes of Lebanon, and Brendon Shively of Saint Mary's; 18 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two siblings, David Grimes (Libby) of Lebanon and Michelle Baker (Michael) of Brandenburg; his special dogs, Jumper and Darrell.

Funeral Services for Christopher Lloyd Grimes will be held at 7 pm Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Pastor Clellen Hays will officiate.  Cremation will follow the service with inurnment in Ryder Cemetery.

The visitation is 4-7 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.
