Obituary
Clarence Walford Murphy Sr., age 67, of Lebanon KY, passed peacefully at his residence, Monday, August 25, 2014 with his family at his side.
He was born and resided in Lebanon, where he was a third generation family farmer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruby White Murphy.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine Murphy, two sons, Clarence Walford Murphy Jr., (Melissa) and William Chad Murphy Sr., (Lena) both of Lebanon and a daughter, Sarah Murphy, of Bowling Green, KY. Other survivors include one granddaughter and five grandsons.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday, August 29, 2014 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 235 S. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Bill Bowling will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 4-8 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 6:30 PM with Dr. David B. Whitlock.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers are Louis Graves Jr., John Reed, Ken Couch, Joe Hickey Sr., Ames O'Nan, Jeff Porter, David Sandusky, Glen Lewis, Eddie Blandford, Lee Robinson, Terry Tatum, Jimmy Smith and Gerald Hayes.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to the St. Augustine School fund.
