Claude Allan Tower, Jr. passed away on June 9, 2012 at the age of 69. He is survived by his sister, Gal Looft, brother, Steve (Audrey) Tower; sons Addison (Betsy) and Cameron Tower; grandchildren Sarah and Preston Tower; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service was held at the home of Gal Looft in St. Francis, KY on Tuesday, June 12.
Claude grew up in Racine, WI, and was a member of the Washington Park High School Class of 1960. He was truly a jack of all trades, finding employment as a foundry man, efficiency expert, farm hand, industrial painter, handyman, steeplejack, tuck pointer, glass blower, and cabinetmaker. He loved cars, gardening, and working with his hands. His most recent pastime was creating beautiful artisanal furniture from native Kentucky woods. Claude Overcame many obstacles in life, and made his family proud. He found peace and serenity in his burgeoning garden and in the practice of Zen Buddhism
