Niles Clinton Gribbins, age 86 of New Hope, passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.
He was born December 13, 1927 in Raywick. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jessie Spivey Gribbins; one infant daughter, Cheryl Gribbins, one brother, J. R. Gribbins; two sisters, Wanda Phillips and infant, Lara Lou Gribbins and the mother of his children, Jean Richards.
Survivors include three daughters, Nila Gribbins of West Point, Sharon Bonn of Louisville and Laura Mallm of New Jersey, one son, Mike Gribbins of Louisville; one brother, Kenneth "Shorty" Gribbins (Ann) of New Hope.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with Rev. Deacon Eddie Hutchins officiating. Burial will follow in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville, where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation is 11 AM till 8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
