Joseph Robert 'Cob' Mattingly, age 68 of Loretto, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 27, 1950 in Marion County. He was a retired Truck Driver with the Marion County Road Department and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elias Alvin and Nellie Brockman Mattingly; one brother, Alvin Mattingly; one infant daughter, Angela Rose Mattingly.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Carlene Mattingly; three daughters, Regina Hood (Michael) of Springfield, Amanda O'Bryan (Jody) of Bardstown and Kathy Lyvers (Jason) of Loretto; seven grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Hammond (Hugh) of Lebanon; one brother, Carl Mattingly (Lisa) of Loretto.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Monday, October 22, 2018 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
