Curtis Ray Goode, age 72 of Saint Francis, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

He was born November 8, 1946 in Louisville. He was a retired diesel mechanic with UPS in Louisville; a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War; a member of the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard, Lebanon VFW and American Legion. He coached many different sports teams over the past 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orbey and Emogene Phillips Goode; one granddaughter, Shelby Lee Goode (May 26, 2018); one brother, Greg Goode.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Christine Elaine Goode; three sons, Eddie Goode (Tonya) of Saint Francis, Doug Goode of Liberty and Mike Goode (Linda) of Springfield; five grandchildren, Sarah Goode, Savannah Goode, Emily Helms, Sawyer Goode and Finley Goode; one sister, Debbie Smith (Brad) of Louisville; three brothers, Ronnie Goode (Sherry) of Shepherdsville, Robbie Goode (Lisa) and Dickie Goode all of Louisville.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Dr. David B. Whitlock will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers. His sons and Sawyer Goode will service as Honorary Pallbearers.
