Elmer Dallas Hansel, age 76 of Shepherdsville, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Landmark of Lancaster Nursing Center.  He was born August 6, 1945 in Hamilton County, Ohio and also a native of Lebanon, KY.  He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Faye Hansel (died March 1, 2021) parents, Elmer and Eva Gentry Hansel; two sisters, Jean Jones and Joyce Moles; two brothers, Bruce and Darrel Hansel.

Survivors include three sons, Timothy Hansel (Carrie) of Shepherdsville, Bradley Hansel of Louisville and Lee Hansel of Lancaster; one sister, Pam Shepherd (DeWayne) of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Michael, Cory, Madison, Zachery and Carter; two great grandchildren, Landon and Ca'leah.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday, October 18, 2021 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Rev. Dan Durham will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery in St. Joe.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Arthur Rheaume, Zachery Hansel, Troy Lawson, Robert Brightwell, Chad Fenwick and Wilson Shepherd.
