Obituary
Dean Edward Bruner, 73, of Loretto, KY, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
Born August 31, 1937 in Utica, IN, Mr. Bruner was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company and member of Utica Church of Christ. He was Past President of the Lebanon Lions Club and a member of the Loretto Sportsman Club. He volunteered at the Marion County Ham Days festival and the Saint Francis Picnic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Augusta and Aleda Mae Brendle Bruner, three sisters, Jean Dorman, Brenda Worley and Linda Dorman, a step-son, Thomas Richard "Ricky" Humphrey, and a grandson, Tony Bailey.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Linda Hutchins Bruner, two daughters, Kim (Bill) Russell of Lebanon Junction, KY and Deana (Cledith) Totman of Louisville, KY, two sons, Steven Bruner of Jeffersonville, IN and Ronnie (Tammy) Bruner of Madison, IN, a stepdaughter, Lisa Marie (Bobby) Williams of Schaumburg, IL, a stepson, Joe David (Lisa)Humphrey of Loretto, KY, two sisters, Vicky Hall and Martha (Earl) Wetzel all of Jeffersonville, IN, a brother, Bud Bruner of Jeffersonville, IN, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, KY. Pastor Jim Calvert and Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Holy Cross, KY. A Memorial Service will be held 7 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Utica Church of Christ, 300 South 4th Street, Utica, IN. Visitation will be 3 PM till 9 PM Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5 PM.
Pallbearers will be Joe David Humphrey, Steven Bruner, Ronnie Bruner, Bill Russell, Bobby Williams, Robin Dorman, Henry Hugh Dorman and Lance Wetzell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Ferree, Becky Bruner, Brandi Sayers, Shannon Moore, Steven Bruner Jr., Brooklyn Bruner, Jani-Dean Bruner, Dylan Humphrey, Dustin Humphrey, Ramey Morris and Zach Morris.
