Richard "Dick" Thomas, Sr., age 68 of Louisville, formerly of Cub Run, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center.

He was born September 5, 1947 in Marion County. He was a former driver with Great Onyx Job Corp in Mammoth Cave and was a Catholic by faith. He loved the Florida Keys, fishing and riding his three wheeler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Irma Dant Thomas; one sister, Phillis Ann Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Thomas; one daughter, Marcia Golder (Bryan) of Cub Run, one son, Richard W. "Tommy" Thomas, Jr. (Angela Flannery) of Lousville, three grandchildren, Jordan and Aaron Golder and Libby Thomas; two sisters, Pam Medley (Danny) of Loretto, Ann Marie Ballard (Greg) of Holy Cross; five brothers, John Dant Thomas and Steve Thomas, both of Bardstown; Keith Thomas of Shepherdsville, Bernie Thomas of Taylorsville and Phillip Thomas (Amanda) of Atlanta, Georgia.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Cremation will follow.

Visitation will be 3-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home
