Doc Lamkin, age 89 of Raywick, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

He was born May 17, 1929 in Marion County. He was a retired Farmer and member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Whitlock Lamkin; one daughter, Mary Marcella Lamkin; his parents, William Joseph and Lucy Ella Bartley Lamkin; three sisters, Marge Clark, Betty French and Irene Morris; five brothers, Bill, Jack, T. C. , Mike and Raymond Lamkin.

Survivors include three daughters, Darlene Hayden (Lester), Carol Garrett (Matthew) and Barbara Gordon (Kevin) all of Lebanon; six sons, David Sr. (Patricia), Joe (Barbara), Phillip (Nancy Leigh), Jackie (Tammy), Michael (Becki) and Danny (Heather) all of Raywick; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren; one brother, Andy Lamkin (Betty Jo) of Louisville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 10, 2018 at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 108 Main Street, Raywick. Rev. David W. Naylor will preside. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

His sons will serve as pallbearers. His grandchildren, Steven Hayden, Christian Forbis, David Lamkin Jr., Travis Lamkin, Nick Lamkin, Brandon Lamkin, Lance Abell, Morgan Lamkin, Brooke Gordon, Jessica McClure and Heather Lamkin will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
