Cynthia Dolores Mattingly Blady, age 95 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary in Nerinx.
She was born February 12, 1922 in Loretto. She loved dancing, sewing, crossword puzzles, history, National Geographic and travel. She was a life-long learner who always continued to grow and expand her world. She was a former member of Saint Martha Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Louis Blady; one daughter, Jane Blady Maraman; her parents, Charles Edward and Marie Aline Mattingly; three sisters, Marjorie Ballard, Aline Vittitow and Evelyn Fenwick; three brothers, Jim Ed Mattingly, Charles Thomas Mattingly and Joseph David Mattingly, Sr.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Marie Sheridan of Louisville; one son, Charles William Blady (Virginia) of Antioch, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Elaine Reynolds of Louisville, Frances "Borgia" Phillips (George) of Scottdale, Pennsylvania, Monica Ballard of Loretto and Diane Devine (Wally) of Willisburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.
Visitation 3-8 PM Wednesday and 9-11 AM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
