Thomas Donald "Donnie" Medley, age 72 of Loretto, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at his residence.
Donnie was born October 5, 1942 in Washington County. He was a retired employee of General Electric in Louisville and a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Juanita Brady Medley; one brother, Wayne Medley.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Joyce Medley; one daughter, Rhonda Livers (Bernie) of Nashville, TN; one son, Brian Keith Medley (Regina) of Raywick; five grandchildren, Dillon Livers, Sam Livers, Emma Livers, Eli Medley and Jake Medley; two sisters, Brenda Pickett of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Molly Anderson of Versailles; one brothers, Steve Medley of Lexington; one aunt, Barbara Thompson of Raywick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday, September 11, 2015 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis. Burial Rites will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Emil Kander will preside.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with prayer service at 7 PM by The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Memorial may go to Friends Committee on National Legislation, 245 Second St., NE, Washington DC 20002 (a lobbying group for public policy that can make a difference in the lives of native american youth)
