James Douglas "Doug" Ewing, age 60 of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023.  He was born May 26, 1962 in Marion County.  He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, ginseng hunting and the outdoors.  He was a quiet man with a big heart and a sense of humor.  He loved his family and his daughters.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Francis Gerald Ewing; two brothers, Charles Ray Ewing and Kenneth Ewing.

Survivors include two daughters, Mariah Crouch (Danny) of Springfield and Sara Jillian Matney of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Jaycee and Briar Matney; His mother, Pauline Russell Ewing of Loretto; five sisters, Rose Marie Simms of Lebanon, Kathy Reynolds (J.T.) of Saint Joe, Martha Knopp (Wayne) of Saint Joe, Patty Ewing of Lebanon, Mary Griffaw (Mike Engler) of LaGrange; three brothers, Terry Ewing of Loretto, Joey Ewing (Erica) of Campbellsville and Tim Ewing (Kym) of Upton.

Private graveside services will be held at Saint Charles Cemetery.  Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate.  Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
