Ellen Marie Capua, 57, of Loretto, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on July 3, 1968, in Marion County. Ellen loved painting, gardening, knitting, and traveling. She especially enjoyed taking long rides with her husband on their motorcycle, exploring new places and she cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joey Buckman.

Survivors include her husband, Richard P. Capua; two daughters, Amanda Bellis (Jerome) of Hurlburt Field, Florida and Elizabeth Allen (David) of Charlottesville, Virginia; one son, Mackenzie MacFarlane (Carla) of El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren, Sean and Lily Bellis and Isabella and Sutton Allen; Her parents, Joseph Robert and Pauline Hughes Buckman of Lebanon; three siblings, Raffey Buckman (Melissa), Michael Buckman, and Geneva Kirkland (Jerry Lee), all of Lebanon; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Ellen Marie Capua will be held at 10 am Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto.  Dr. David B. Whitlock will officiate.  Inurnment will take place in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Calvary followed by a Celebration of her Life at the Saint Augustine parish center.

The memorial visitation is 4-8 pm Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
