Mary Evelyn Fenwick, age 78 of Bardstown, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at her residence.
She was born March 14, 1937 in Loretto. She was a former homemaker and member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Fenwick; her parents, Charles Edward and Marie Aline Mattingly; two sisters, Margie Ballard and Aline Vittitow; three brothers, Jim Ed Mattingly, Charles Thomas Mattingly and Joseph David Mattingly, Sr.; one grandson, Eli Fenwick.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Medley (Phil) of Bardstown and Monica Smith (Jim) of Mount Washington; two sons, Dennis Fenwick of New Haven and Kevin Fenwick (Chrissy) of Bardstown; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Dolores Blady and Elaine Reynolds both of Louisville, Frances "Borgia" Phillips (George) of Scottsdale, Pennsylvania, Monica Ballard of Loretto and Diane Devine (Wally) of Willisburg.
Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, May 29, 2015 at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, 870 Saint Thomas Lane, Bardstown, with committal rites to follow in the church cemetery. The Most Rev. William F. Medley will officiate.
Urnbearers are her grandchildren, James Medley, Jacob Medley, Anna Wimpsett, Abby Fenwick, Luke Fenwick, Tyler Fenwick, Jay Smith and Kara Smith.
Memorials may go to Saint Thomas Cemetery Fund c/o Saint Thomas Church.
