of Louisville, Formerly of Nelson County, KY
Passed away at 7:15 AM Thursday, January 27, 2011
at Jewish Hospital - Louisville, KY
He was born June 5, 1925 in Nelson County, KY.
Ordained a Priest June 3rd, 1950 at the Cathedral of the Assumption. Early education at St. Mary?s Academy in Deer Lodge, Montana & Sutherland School near Bardstown. He attended High School at McMichael Intermediate, Detroit, Michigan, Holy Cross High School, Holy Cross & St. Mary?s College, St. Mary, KY where he received 4 years of college education. He then studied theology 4 years at St. Meinrad Seminary, St. Meinrad, IN. His first parish was Holy Family in Louisville. Other Parishes include Church of Our Lady, Our Mother of Sorrows, St. Augustine, St. Martin, St. Martha & Christ the King Church's all of Louisville. He also served at St. Bernard in Casey County & Our Lady of Fatima and Our Lady of the Hills in Taylor County.

MASS OF CHRISTION BURIAL: 11 AM Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Saint Vincent de Paul Church - New Hope, KY
CHIEF CELEBRANT: Most Rev. Joseph E. Kurtz. Rev. Ken Fortener & many other priest will concelebrate.
INTERMENT : Saint Vincent de Paul Cemetery
VISITATION: 3-8 PM Friday at Mattingly Funeral Home - 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, KY & 9am till 11 am at the church on Saturday.
Prayer Service will be at 7 PM Friday.
Expessions of Sympathy may go toward Priest Retirement c/o Archdiocese of Louisville
