Obituary
Thomas Gary "Camel" Hamilton, age 59 of Loretto, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014 at U of L Hospital.
He was born January 16, 1955 in Marion County. He was a former employee of Owens-Illinois Company in Bardstown and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Everett "Tommy" Hamilton (1972) and his daughter, Alison Louise Hamilton (2009).
Survivors include his mother, Joann Hayden Hamilton of Loretto; two sisters, Joanie Lancaster of Lebanon and Edith Gribbins of Hodgenville; four brothers, Jude Hamilton (Theresa) of Loretto, Jeff and Billy Hamilton of Bardstown and Glen Hamilton (Mindy) of Calvary; several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis. The Most Rev. William Medley will be the celebrant. Military Rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Cremation will follow the Services.
Visitation is 3-9 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
