He was born June 7, 1930 in Marion County, KY.
He was a retired Chief Petty Officer of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was awarded a bronze star. He later worked as a metal fabricator.
He was a free mason and member of Acton Baptist Church and Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Lebanon VFW Post 1590, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 49 and the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. He was serving on the City of Raywick Board of Commissioners.
