George Henry Heissenbuttel's Obituary
George Henry Heissenbuttel, age 77 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Signature Healthcare East.
He was born March 30, 1940 in Bronx, NY. He was a former employee of Bell South; a veteran of the U.S. Army; a Kentucky Colonel; a member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association and a muscle cars and boating enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry George and Caroline Botolotti Heissenbuttel.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Blair Heissenbuttel; two sons, Hank (Melanie) and Bill Heissenbuttel all of Louisville; two grandchildren, two great grandsons and many nieces and nephews; one sister, Rose Crumley of Longwood, Florida.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Saint Thomas Moore Church, 6105 S. Third St., Louisville. Rev. Philip L. Erickson will preside. Burial will follow in Saint Francis of Assisi cemetery in Saint Francis.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Tuesday at Joseph E. Ratterman and Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, Louisville. Mattingly Funeral Home and Joseph E. Ratterman and Son Funeral Home are in charge of the arrangements.
