Mildred Geraldine "Geri" Jewell West, age 65 of Raywick, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 at U of L Hospital.

She was born September 7, 1951 in Russellville. She was raised in Lebanon Junction and was a Baptist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas "Jimmie" West and her parents, Joseph B. Jewell, Sr. and Ruby Rae Hayes Jewell

Survivors include two daughters, Tracy West-Edelen of Raywick and Leslie West of Loretto; one son, Jeff Helms (Sherry) of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Emily Helms, Kenny West, Alexis Edelen, Katie Russell and Benjamin Lee Russell; two great-grandchildren, Grant and Bryce West; five sisters, Paula Jewell of Shepherdsville, Cheryl Jewell and Sandy Jewell, both of Mount Washington, Phyllis Campbell and Joie Jewell, both of Lebanon Junction; one brother, Roger Jewell (Carol) of Leitchfield.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held at 7 PM Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto. Dr. David B. Whitlock will officiate.

Visitation is 3-7 PM Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home.
