Glen Hicks, age 70 of Bardstown, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at his home, with his family by his side.  He was born August 31, 1952, in Nelson County to the late Junior and Louise Jackson Hicks.  He was a retired employee of Barton Distillery in Bardstown with more than 40 years of service.

Survivors include his wife 49 years, JoAnn Miles Hicks; one son, Scott Glen Hicks (Lauren) of Cox's Creek; two grandchildren, Darian Brooke Crabtree (Grant) of Louisville and Kaiden Lane Hicks at home; three sisters, Janice Unseld of Bardstown, Tammy Mattingly (Jimmy) and Brenda Hicks all of Holy Cross; four brothers, Ralph Hicks of Bardstown, Ronnie Hicks (Pat) and Keith Hicks, all of Holy Cross, and Dennis Hicks of Shepherdsville.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Glen Hicks will be held at 10 am Friday, February 24, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto.  Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate.  The burial will follow in Saint Francis of Assisi Cemetery. The Funeral and Prayer Service will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Thursday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Neal Hicks, Brent Webb, Mike Unseld, Jeff Unseld, Jason Crawford and Logan Mattingly; Honorary Pallbearers are Denny Clark and Troy Rogers.
