Glessie Mae Brady, age 73 of Holy Cross, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her residence.

She was born June 23, 1940 in Holy Cross. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom Company in Campbellsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Louis "Jimmy" Brady, her parents, Joseph Gonza and Mary Essie Newton Riggs and one sister, Jane Marice Stennitt.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Mattingly (Lawrence) and Vicki Brady all of Holy Cross, one son, Jim Brady (Robin) of New Haven, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four sisters, Rose Mary Clark (Bernard) and Betty Sue Calhoun (Joe) all of Louisville, Clara DeWitt of New Haven and Leona Mattingly (Billy) of Holy Cross, two brothers, Buddy Riggs (Becky) and Adrian Riggs (Geraldine) all of Holy Cross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 N. Saint Francis Road, Loretto, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 5 PM.
