Obituary
Marion Howard Nichols, Jr., age 41 of Bardstown, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at his residence.
He was a native of Nelson County and a former Truck Driver and Mechanic with Trade Winds Transit Inc. in Bardstown.
Survivors include his parents, Marion "Nick" and Ann Gardner Nichols of Holy Cross, one daughter, Kelsey Ann Nichols at home, two sisters, Rachel Pettit (Mark) of Bardstown and Lynn Cederquist of New Haven, two brothers, David Nichols of Holy Cross and Daren Nichols of Lebanon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 3560 North Saint Francis Road, Loretto, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Troy Overton will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 3-8 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
Pallbearers are Todd Gardner, Mark Gardner, Allen Metcalf, Paul Gardner, Brandon Gardner and Brandon Bartley.
