July 22, 1942 – November 8, 2019
Mary Irene O'Daniel, age 77, passed away in Louisville, on November 8th surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Raywick to the late Paul Michael Lee and Mary Ethel Minor. She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Christine Nally (C.L.) of Bardstown and by her brother, Mike Lee (Shelda) of Raywick. She was a retired employee of Walmart. Like her mother, she was a talented crochetier and knitter, and leaves many beautiful afghans and knitted treasures with her family and friends. She loved all things cooking and often shared her creations with neighbors and friends. She had many wonderful friends who provided joy in her life and who were there to support and love her in death. You will always be in our hearts Irene.
Irene is survived by her daughter Sandra Kaye Turner (Scott) of Charlotte, North Carolina, her sisters: Sherry Abell of Louisville, Wanda Wise (Jerry) of Campbellsville, Rita Fadell (Joseph) of Atlanta, and by her brother, Paul Lee of Hodgenville, and her nephews and nieces: Terry, Rene, Lori, Lynn, Kevin, Robbie, Stephanie, Michael, Bobby, Jessie, and Jonathan.
Cremation was chosen. Irene's Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick, officiated by Father David Naylor, for all her family and friends. Committal Rites will follow in the church cemetery, with a luncheon in Raywick school cafeteria following committal.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
