Obituary
Irene Turpack, 87, of Lebanon, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Life Care Center of Bardstown.
Born February 21, 1924 in Carbondale, PA, Ms. Turpack lived her adult years in Uxbridge, Massachusetts until five years ago when she moved to live with her family in Kentucky. She formerly worked at General Electric in Carbondale, PA and was a Russian Orthodox by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Ference and a number of siblings.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Leo Hamelin of Lebanon, two granddaughters, Nicole (Philip) Griffith and Lauren Hamelin all of Lebanon, a brother, Frank (Rose) Ference of Carbondale, PA, 3 great-grandchildren and a several nieces and nephews.
No public services are planned. Cremation was chosen. Expressions of sympathy may go to the Marion County Humane Society, 1105 Highway 208, Lebanon, KY 40033. Mattingly Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
