Arthur Mae "Itty" Thompson, age 88 of Loretto, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary.
She was born June 24, 1927 in Loretto. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward "Ed" Thompson; her parents, James Arthur and Regina Isabelle Smith Cambron; one infant son, Joseph Paul Thompson; four sisters, Monzell Bland, Florence Hagan, Golda O'Daniel and her infant twin, Arthur J. Cambron; one brother, Thomas L. "Nicky" Cambron.
Survivors include seven daughters, Margie Semonin (Bill) of Charlotte, NC, Sue Bland (Dan) of Shepherdsville, Joyce Mattingly (Ronnie), Janet Newton (Timmy McMahan) all of Loretto, Brenda Leake (Chuck) and Lisa Bowling (Berry) all of Bardstown; Karen Brady (Chris) of Lebanon; three sons, Dickie Thompson (Rita) of Bardstown, Eddie Thompson (Sharon) and Ray Thompson (Stacy) all of Loretto; 25 grandchildren & 40 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Vivian Cambron of Loretto.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Monday, December 28, 2015 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Saint Francis. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 2-8 PM Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 7 PM.
