He was born November 17, 1926 at Holy Cross, KY. He was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Church, a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of World War II, and a former member of the Nelson County Democrat Executive Committee.

He retired in 1992 after 46 years with Barton Brands Distillery in Bardstown, KY.

He was a member of the Kentucky Colonels, the Loretto Sportman's Club, Nelson County Board of Elections, and American Legion Post 121.

He volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Store.

FUNERAL MASS 11 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Holy Cross Catholic Church - Holy Cross, KY

BURIAL : Holy Cross Cemetery
VISITATION: 2-9 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Mattingly Funeral Home - Loretto, KY
Vigil will be at 5 PM Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Mission Store at 113 North 4th St., Bardstown, KY 40004.
