Obituary
Janice Marie Hicks, age 52, of New Hope, KY, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Bardstown.
Born February 26, 1959 in Nelson County, she was a 25 year employee of American Greetings in Bardstown.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Fred Hicks, Sr., one sister, Sharon Egorow, two brothers, Kenneth Gordon Hicks and David Allen Hicks.
Survivors include her mother, Catherine Williamson Hicks of New Hope, five sisters, Lois Mattingly (Joe Larry) and Judy Masterson (Fuzz) all of New Haven, Debbie Morris of New Hope, Nancy Newton (Stuart) of Loretto, Lisa Hall (Billy) of Bloomfield, four brothers, Ted, Steve and Donald Hicks all of New Hope, Rick Hicks (Susan) of Lexington, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, New Hope, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Fortener will be the celebrant.
Visiting 3-8 PM Monday and 8 AM till 10:30 AM Tuesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Rev. Deacon Edward Hutchins will preside.
