Joseph Wathen "Jay" Buckman, age 66 of Falls of Rough, formerly of Marion County, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  He was born December 18, 1955 in Indiana.  He was a retired factory worker and farmer.  He loved his family, friends, fishing, gardening and his fur babies.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Buckman; his mother, Beatrice Wathen Buckman; his stepmother, Doris O'Daniel Buckman; his sister, Lois Ann Buckman.

Survivors include his wife Louise Clark Buckman; one son, Larry Buckman of Lebanon; four daughters, Sandra Jones (Derek) of Raywick, Tina Hall (Gerard) of New Hope, Sabrina Clark (Lloyd) and Laticia Jones, all of Holy Cross; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; seven siblings, Jim Buckman (Frankie) of Louisville, Katrina Robles (Joe) of Saint Cloud, Florida, Pat Yater (Mike) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Janice Murphy (Pat) of Kansas, Susan McGarry (Tim) of California, Frances Pelletier (Peter) of Florida and Doug Buckman of New Mexico.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Friday, July 1, 2022 at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.  The prayer service will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page.  Cremation will follow.
