Wilma Jean "Jeanie" Lyvers, age 77 of Holy Cross, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 26, 1943, in New Hope. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic church and longtime member of TOPS 242 of Bardstown.

She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Brenda Sue Lyvers; one son, Joe Pat Lyvers; her parents, George Franklin and Ruby Lavena Griffin Davis; three sisters, Joann Mattingly, Elaine Davis, and Vicky Ballard; one brother, Drexel "Duck" Davis.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Wallace Lyvers; three children, Eddie Lyvers (Susie) and Roger Lyvers (Charlotte) all of Holy Cross and Margie Chance (Larry) of Bardstown; six grandchildren, Christina Tucker (Jonathan), Daniel Lyvers (Kendra), Angela Rakes (Cody), Joey Lyvers, Hope Lyvers and Faith Lyvers; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Gail Updike of Bardstown; one sister-in-law, Wanda Davis of New Hope; one brother-in-law, Eddie Ballard of Loretto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 59 New Haven Road, Loretto. Rev. Richard Goodin will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Cross Church Cemetery Fund.

Pallbearers are Daniel Lyvers, Joey Lyvers, Cody Rakes, Darrel Essex, Jake Ballard and Chad Ballard.
