Jeanne Howard Buckler, 95, of Marion County, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Spring View Hospital.  She was born May 31, 1927, in Marion County.  She worked as a partner with her husband for 40 years of Buckler Refrigeration, Heating & Air, along with duties as homemaker and caretaker of their six children.  She was a lifelong member of Saint Augustine Parish and graduated Salutatorian from Saint Augustine High School.

Mrs. Buckler was preceded in death by her husband, Damien Hayden Buckler, Jr.; her parents, John W. and Antoinette Madden Howard; four sisters, Sister Johnanna Howard, S. L., Faye Keene, Richie Mae Humpkey and Sister Susan Howard, S.L.; two brothers, Dr. Bill Howard and Madden Howard.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Buckler, John Buckler and Tony Buckler (Janie Martin) all of Lebanon; three daughters, Margaret Blanford (Paul) of Lebanon, Marian Caldwell (Billy) of Calvary and Mary Ellen Wright (Ricky) of Calvary; 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanne Howard Buckler will be held at 11 am Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 235 S. Spalding Avenue, Lebanon.  Rev. Jinto Thomas, C.M.I. with officiate.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 pm Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Bo Wright, Billy Caldwell, Michael Howard, Steve Humkey, Jimmy Keene, Kyle Wright and Richie Buckler.  Honorary Pallbearers are James Spragens, Ames O'Nan, Paul Thomas, Bruce Higdon, Johnny Nelson and Jody Lyon.
