Jessica Marie Browning, 43, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, September 10th, 2025, peacefully at her home after a battle with colon cancer. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Margaret Fenwick and Tyler and Emma Morris and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Matthew Browning, her daughters, Sydney and Katelyn; parents, Paul and Jeannie Morris; brothers, John Paul Morris (Denise), and Ritchie Morris (Paula), and 10 nieces and nephews.
Jessie was not only a loving wife and mother, but also a dedicated Marine, holding the rank of an E8 Master Sergeant. She served 8 years of active duty before transitioning to the Marine Reserve for a total of 26 years of services. She had one deployment to Iraq and two to Afghanistan.
After Jessie moved back to Lebanon, she started a family and began her civilian career. She had worked at two law offices and two construction companies. She was currently employed by T & T Banking Solutions. She found joy with the task of overseeing bank remodels, ATM change outs and other projects in the industry.
Jessie found joy away from work with her family, whether it was a camping trip, a hike, time on the water canoeing or around a campfire with family. Jessie was also very active in life that often included 3 mile runs and workouts. She was an avid member of Crossfit, where she also became a certified coach.
Throughout her life, Jessie came in contact with many people that she considered to be part of her family. She was encouraging and helpful to others, no matter the situation.
Funeral Services for Jessie Marie Browning will be held at 11 am Monday, September 15, 2025 at Saint Charles Catholic Church, 675 highway 327, Lebanon. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. Interment will follow in Lebanon National Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps.
The visitation is 4-8 pm Sunday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 pm.
Memorials may go to Marion County Good Samaritans Foundation.
Pallbearers are John Paul Morris, Ritchie Morris, Patrick Miles, John Louis Morris, Chris Boone, Nathan Ballard, Greg Morris, and Dale McCauley.
Mattingly Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
