Obituary
Jewell Marie Reid, age 76, of Holy Cross passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home in Lebanon.
Jewell was born January 23, 1937 in Washington County. She was a homemaker and member of Holy Cross Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Francis Hermit and Emmie Jane Faulkner Hagan, one brother, David Hagan and one sister, Barbara J. Donahue.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gerald Reid, four daughters, Carol Eddington (Lee) of Winchester, Patsy Reid (Maurice Jackson) of Lexington, Jane Kleyn (Doug) of Delavin, Wisconsin, Annette Carpenter (Hoyt) of Winter Garden, Florida, five sons, Jimmy Reid (Marilyn) of Boston, KY, Eddie Reid (Carolyn) of Manton, Thomas Reid (Eva) of Georgetown, Paul Reid (Tammy) of Holy Cross, Mark Reid (Elaine) of Jessup, Maryland, 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Shirley Bartley (Pat) of Culvertown, Diana Green (John) of Louisville, two brothers, Tony Hagan (Linda) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and John Hagan of Culvertown.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Holy Cross, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.
Visitation will be 3-8 PM Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 5 PM.
Her pallbearers will be some of her grandchildren.
